  • Representational systems: To use visual, auditory and kinaesthetic language to influence thinking. 
  • Eye accessing Cubes: To observe the eye’s movement to determine a person’s preferred representational system.

Neuro Linguistic Programming Techniques for Anchoring

Anchoring is the Technique of NLP neurolinguistic programming that associates specific feelings, thoughts or responses with a particular stimulus. This can be done through touch, sound, or other sensory cues. The goal is to connect the positive feelings, thoughts, and responses and the anchor to activate the positive emotions, ideas, and reactions whenever the anchor is triggered. 

  • To identify the positive state: To choose a condition that you want to anchor, such as confidence, calm, or happiness. 
  •  To Create an Anchor: Choose a physical or sensory cue that will be used as the anchor, such as touch, sound, or an image.
  • To induce the Positive State: This is the term in NLP in the positive state by recalling a time when you felt that or imagining a situation that evokes a desire. 
  • Fire the Anchor: While in the positive state, fire the anchor by using the chosen physical or sensory cue and observing the response. If the positive condition is not elicited, repeat the process until the anchor is successfully established. 

Anchoring is a powerful tool for positive change and improving one’s emotional state. To Associate positive feelings, thoughts, and responses with a specific anchor, individuals can quickly access these positive states whenever needed.
